Super Micro Computer SC847A

Super Micro Computer name is better known for enterprise computing solutions, primarily for use in data centers. Supermicro has recently introduced a data storage product with a new approach. Supermicro SC847A is a storage medium that has a 4U size with a total of 3.5-inch drive bays for hard disk hot swap as many as 36 pieces.

The number of available drive bays 24 of them located on the front, while another 12 drive bays located at the back. There are 9 additional drive bays but can not be accessed as easily as any other 36 drive bays.

The number of drive bays offered on these products would be attractive solution to the data center, primarily for reasons of saving space. In addition to the number of drive bays that many, redundant power supply that is used has a Platinum level with the level of efficiency level not less than 94%.

This product also can handle up to 7 low profile add on card or add on at least four standard-size cards. To ensure rapid interkoneski, this product uses the SAS interface to each hard drive. Imagine, how much capacity can be achieved this product to be part of the application SAN, NAS, Cloud Storage, SaaS, disaster recovery or iSCSI.
