Extend Firefox a contest of Mozilla Project

Mozilla project has organized a contest whose theme Extend Firefox, which is devoted to development and innovation in web search through the add-on from Firefox 3.5.

Prizes have been awarded to developers who create new features by using Firefox 3.5 and the ability to demonstrate innovation. Category that held, among others Add-on best newcomers, the development of the best add-on, add-on’s best shopping, add-on education and the best add-on game.

Add-on winner of best achieved by Chris Finke with FireFound, Jeferson Hultmann with Multifox, Hsiao-Ting Yu with Voyage. Location FireFound send your machine to a secure server, with the idea if your machine is stolen then the machine can send the last location using Firefox Geolocation API to help track the existence of these machines.

For the category of development there are also three grand-prize winners, the Smart Find by Antonio Gomez, Book burro by Jesse Andrews and Speed Dial by Josep Del Rio.
