Recycling SIM Card

Singapore’s three mobile operators expressed interest in using the physical SIM card can be recycled. The third operator is interested in SingTel, MobileOne and StatHub. In an official statement, SingTel itself is already using the material environment-friendly paper and can be recycled for repeated vouchers.

Last month, a company based in Holland, Gemalto, introducing smart cards and SIM Card is made from recycled materials, and can be made again without producing toxic emissions. According to the spokesman Gemalto Asia region, existing demand and interest from their customers throughout the world to use the SIM Card from these recycled materials.

Not explained how the price comparisons between cards can be recycled and conventional cards. but the fore during the evaluation period, factors such as cost, availability and card packaging materials will be considered. The plan,  this recycling cards will begin mass production in the first quarter of 2010.
